10 Minute Run!!!

Today was my first run in 2 weeks and I was really excited. What's been going on??? Well...I've been dealing with Plantar Fascitis for a couple of months now and it really flared up after Jack's Generic. So, I've been taking some time off my feet which means no running. I've experienced aquajogging for the first time in my life over the last 2 weeks and I have to say...it's not that much fun. I've also been doing some eliptical at the gym. Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy because I sweat so much on that eliptical machine. I'm the only one around that has a puddle of sweat underneath the machine. Well...then again everyone else around is either watching t.v. or reading a book. That's the one that kills me. How can anyone read a book while running, biking or elipticalling (new word?). I bounce up and down so much on the eliptical machine that trying to do anything else would make me vomit. Anyhoo, I'm on the mend and looking forward to getting back my running fitness.

Next up will be the L.A. triathlon. I've decided not to do the Austin Tri since L.A. is the following weekend. I figure I should try and let my heel heal as much as possible and hope for the best in L.A.

Coaching has been going well. In two weeks I will be helping out with WAWA a youth swim team a couple of nights a week. I helped out last year and it was a lot of fun. This year Brandon will be helping out as well. We'll see how that goes as we will be living together, training together and working together. YIKES!!!

Thanks for reading.

Oh...I wanted to say congrats to Lynne Smith for being the fastest solo swimmer to swim the English Channel this year. That's an amazing accomplishment.

HI AMY!!!!! It's been forever since I've seen you! I heard you did really well in some World Triathlon thingy in France, I'm not too sure what it is exactly but it sounded very impressive with the word world and champs and being in France and all. You need to come back to Austin to say hi, we got a new facility and it's HUGE! AND AWESOME! I miss you!
Your favorite swimmer (haha,jk)
